Welcome to Colne Water Angling Club

Founded in 1952, Colne Water Angling Club is a long-standing community of passionate anglers offering fly fishing across three beautiful East Lancashire waters.

We’re Dedicated to Sustainable, Quality Fishing

From the wild brown trout of Colne Water to the stocked rainbows of our two moorland reservoirs, our members enjoy diverse fishing opportunities, with a focus on environmental care and responsible angling.

Churn Clough Reservoir

Nestled near Pendle Hill, Churn Clough features crystal-clear water, rich hatches, and regular trout stocking. The peaceful setting is perfect for immersive fly fishing.

Laneshaw Reservoir

Located high on Reedshaw Moss, Laneshaw offers 16 acres of fly-only fishing. Well-stocked with rainbow, brown & blue trout, it’s a rewarding challenge for any angler.

Colne Water

Running through the heart of Colne, this river offers wild brown & blue trout fishing. Part of the Wild Trout Trust’s ‘Trout in the Town’ project, it’s a true urban gem.

U14s Fish for Free

Children under 14 can join for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult member — perfect for introducing young anglers to the sport.

All members receive two free guest tickets to share the experience with friends and family at our stillwaters.
